Mother's Day gift to my mom

This is my mom’s mini getaway that I made for her for Mother’s Day. I really like this lantern and it was a lot of fun to create this mini scene.

As always I wanted to try something new and I thought it needed a flowering vine that was growing up the side. Remember my last post where I showed you that flower soft stuff? This is what you can do with it, of course I could have used purple or some other color but you all should know me by now and that orange would be in there somewhere! I did add little yellow, peach and purple flowers in the bottom corners in and around the ferns.  The lounge chair is an ornament I have been holding onto for a while and was just the right size. I added the red blanket from my fabric drawer and made the book too.

I hope you like it and if you have any questions about the scene please give me a shout either in the comments or via email. **Also to view the image larger please click on it.  Have a great week everyone and thanks for following me on my mini adventures!

What a wonderful gift! You have fired my imagination. I keep getting scenarios in my head now and they won't stop. I will share as many as I can. This will be fun.

A Halloween scene with a coffin surrounded by trees and a spooky light coming from somewhere.

A Snow White scene with a beautiful doll in a glass coffin surrounded by all sorts of flowers and greenery and perhaps a tall tree.

Any room in a house, be it kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom.

A small bridge with two children crossing it and a guardian angel like that lovely calendar image we sometimes see. This is still available in poster form. Nice to put in children's room.

A Christmas scene like perhaps the tree with gifts underneath and a buffet filled with festive food.

A market stall filled with vegetables and fruit and a few baskets lying about.

Just a small pond surrounded with flowers and greenery and a bird or two. A tree, of course.

Anything to do with boutiques. Ladies dresses, or a perfume shop, or a hat shop, or a jewellery counter, or a wig shop. Imagine the wigs you could have, a potion shop for witches.

Okay, the ideas have stopped but I know they will return because that's how my mind works.

There, you have enough work to last you a long time if you're interested.

Oh, yes, a butcher shop with all the hanging sausages.

Have fun! Gee, I enjoyed myself!

Your mother must have been so thrilled with her gift. It is unique!

What a lovely miniature scene for your Mother, she will be very happy with this.
It is a pity the picture is a bit small, for me it is hard to see all those beautiful details in it.

This was exactly what I was going for, I may have to make one for myself and take it to work!

Hello Ilona, If you click on the image it will enlarge it to it's real size. I always set my photos in the small preview size so if people are using google reader or mobile device the photo does not take up the whole screen. If you did click on it and it still seemed on the small side please let me know, maybe I need to rethink the sizes I make them.
